Cathryn Rasmuson

Cathryn Rasmuson, Vice Chair, has served on the Board of Directors of the Rasmuson Foundation since 1997.

Mrs. Rasmuson has served on many non-profit boards over the past 35 years.

Her most memorable experience is dog-mushing over a thousand miles from Anchorage to Nome with Joe Redington in 1993 on the Iditarod Trail.

Mrs. Rasmuson was born in Canada and moved to Alaska in February 1969. She married Ed Rasmuson in September 1969 and became a United States Citizen in 1977.

Ed and Cathryn have three children: Natasha, Laura and David. They also have three grandchildren: Liesel, Tanner and Nicolas.

She devotes her time to being a friend, a grandmother, the Rasmuson Foundation and travel.
