Joel Neimeyer

Joel Neimeyer serves as a Program Officer for the Rasmuson Foundation with a primary focus on health services. He oversees the Pre-Development Program which is a collaborative project with the Foraker Group, the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority, the Foundation, and the Denali Commission to identify technical support and funding for non-profit/Tribal/municipal organizations that desire to develop new capital facility projects.

Prior to the Foundation, he served at the Denali Commission for five years and the Alaska Area Native Health Service for 15 years. He has over 23 years experience of planning, designing and constructing rural facility projects and is licensed to practice engineering in the State of Alaska. Joel is in his fourth year of his detail assignment to the Foundation through a unique personnel agreement with the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium and the Indian Health Service. He is a Commissioned Corps Officer with the U.S. Public Health Service and holds the rank of Commander.

He presently serves as a Board Member for United Way of Anchorage, Alaska's Broadway Kidz and is Chair of the Municipality of Anchorage On-Site Technical Review Board, Chair of the Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center Board, and is the co-chair for the Alaska Dental Action Coalition.
