Connie Irrigoo

Siberian Yupik, Connie Irrigoo has more than 15 years of comprehensive public and community relations experience. The majority of Connie's experience has been working for Alaska Native entities in Anchorage, including CIRI, Southcentral Foundation and the Alaska Native Heritage Center.

When asked to join former U.S. Senator Ted Stevens' staff, Connie joined without hesitation. While working for the late, former senator, Connie learned and mastered federal communication methods for the benefit of constituents in the areas of contract, land use, environment, medical, workers compensation, and other federal issues. She worked closely with constituents, federal agencies and the senator to accomplish his goals.

Born and raised in Nome, Connie's family is originally from Gambell. To escape winter and learn of Pacific Rim cultures, Connie attended and graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in Honolulu. She developed a great appreciation for her Siberian Yupik heritage there. Connie loves to sew, garden and spend time outdoors. She and boyfriend Brodie have two spoiled dogs, Scooby and Mela.
